Here, your ceremony takes place by a river of flowers built just for two. No one else around. No distractions. Just love, breath, sky, and earth.
Begin Your Day in a Lakeside Cabin
Get ready in a wooden cabin tended by the lake’s guardian — where your makeup is done beside an open window and your breakfast is a freshly baked buckwheat pancake, made with love by a local Tibetan grandmother.
This isn’t just preparation. It’s part of the ceremony — quiet, grounded, full of soul.
Getting There Is Part of the Story
Reaching this sacred place is an adventure in itself — the kind you’ll tell your grandchildren. You'll journey by 4x4 along a rugged path carved by your Tibetan guide himself, and every flower and ribbon must be ferried across the lake by hand-built canoe.

Vows That Echo Across Mountains
Your ceremony is led by a Tibetan mountain elder — an officiant whose chant-like English carries like a prayer. As his words rise, yak bells ring out from the far shore, and the sound of your vows merges with the wind, the prayer flags, the trees.
You’ll sign a marriage certificate written in Tibetan. You’ll listen to sacred words.
And you’ll become part of this land’s love story.
A Local Blessing, Reimagined
In traditional Chinese weddings, the combination of red dates, peanuts, longan, and lotus seeds is offered as a blessing for fertility and good fortune — known as “zaosheng guizi” (早生贵子), wishing for the early birth of a precious child.
At our Shangri-La wedding ceremony, we reimagine this custom through the lens of local culture and nature. Carefully arranged on a moss-covered stone, we use tamarind, colorful Yunnan peanuts, and morel mushrooms to form a playful and poetic blessing we call “jiaosheng junzi” — a highland pun meaning “to give birth to a beautiful child,” symbolic of strength, charm, and the spirit of the wild.
Two bundles tied with white rope contain ganoderma (lingzhi) and dendrobium orchid (shihu) — revered Tibetan medicinal herbs symbolising vitality, longevity, and inner harmony.
This is more than a visual offering — it’s a love story told through the language of the land.
