Lake Erskine is a hidden alpine lake tucked deep within Fiordland National Park, less accessible than Lake Lochnagar and rarely visited. This sense of remoteness makes it one of the most tranquil heli wedding locations — from June to September the lake often freezes over with a snowy backdrop, while in summer it transforms into a bright aqua-blue mirror with crisp, glassy reflections. Pairs beautifully with Tutoko Glacier, Footstool Peak (Milford), and the West Coast (Madagascar Beach) for a full Fiordland experience.
