Real Wedding: Lorraine and Tom, a Marquee Wedding at Wonder and Full, Queenstown

Lorraine and Tom’s day unfolded under the spell of Queenstown’s skies, at the idyllic Wonder and Full, where their tale of love was draped in the ethereal glow of Lake Tewa.

Their vows were but the beginning, as a helicopter whisked them above the embrace of the mountains for a private ballet among the clouds. And when they descended, it was into the waiting arms of those who hold their hearts dear.

This celebration was steeped in the purest form of elegance with amaranthus. The ceremony’s centerpiece, a sculpted tree, stood not just as decor, but as a symbol of growing, blooming love. Every candle, every petal, placed with intention, wove the day into an extraordinary tapestry of once-in-a-lifetime moments.

Under the boundless dome of Queenstown's heavens, Lorraine and Tom's union was a fearless ode to love, their spirits as unyielding as the mountains that stood sentinel around them.

With a single stroke of visionary boldness, they adorned their day in the unblemished splendor of white amaranthus—a declaration of their love's pure tenor. This floral singularity graced the shores of Lake Tewa, where our artisanal "tree" reached skyward, an organic sculpture rooting their promise in the fertile soil of the future.

In this landscape touched by the hand of otherworldly decadence, simplicity found its voice in the sophisticated tapestry of their celebration—a narrative spun from the very threads of their beings. Amidst the raw, untempered canvas of nature, they stood enveloped in the sanctity of amaranthus' embrace, their love story enshrined in the very earth it sprung from.

Opting for the bold and pure "one floral" concept proposed by our styling team, they embraced the elegance of white amaranthus for their entire wedding. This choice transformed their ceremony beside Lake Tewa into a realm of clean, chic purity, with our bespoke "tree" standing tall as a testament to life, growth, and enduring love. Crafted with the essence of "otherworldly decadence," this singular floral choice wove a tale of simplicity and sophistication, making every detail a reflection of their unique journey.

This installation at Wonder and Full was a dreamscape suspended above a night of revelry. Each fold of fabric and pendant's glow was a tribute to the couple's elegant taste. As guests wandered beneath this sky of linen and light, they stepped into a dream.

With the ceiling space embraced by an elaborate display, we chose the earth's raw beauty for Lorraine and Tom's tablescapes.

The essence of nature's elegance was captured with minimalist centerpieces, featuring the organic contours of tree branches and the serene flow of white amaranthus. Nestled among these natural elements, the heart of Otago—the region's iconic stones—anchored the scene, while specially made dripping candles flickered like twilight stars.

The stone grey linens, a thoughtful choice, harmonized with the menu's hues and earthy tones, completing the tableau of understated grace.
